Whites:

detergent.
Coloureds:
Treat stains gently to preventfabric fading, try soaking inlaundry borax - a milder bleaching agent.
Natural Fabric:
These can be washed at high temperatures. So, rinsing or pre-soaking item before laundering may be enough to lift stains.
Synthetic Fabric:
Man-made fabrics can be damaged by some chemical stain removers, so test any treatment on a hidden area before use.
Delicates:
Most delicate fabrics require hand-washing, and should be treated gently if stained. Avoid strong chemical solvents and seek expert advice.
