Paint Party
Age Group:
2 to 12 years old
Invitation:
Painting by birthday boy or girl on plain white paper, with
information written on top.
Special Theme Food:
Bowls of Jell-O in different colors and some cookie with colorful
sprinkle on it.
Decorations:
Homemade pictures of paint-brushes.
Activities:
Painting pictures, T-shirts and cookies.
Goodie Bag:
Painted T-shirts, framed picture, paintbrushes, paints, paper.
What to do:
Ready the inexpensive sets of water-colour paint, bunch of paint-brushes, canvasesof pad or pads of watercolor paper, plastic cups for holding water to use with the paints.
Have on hand old shirt or aprons for the kids to wear over their clothes to keep them clean.
Get the birthday boy or girl to paint invitation cards . Paint some picture with bright color to hang around the house for decorations.
Give the kids an abstract word to illustrate such as 'love', 'family'. The older children could paint T-shirt with fabric markers.
Another fun activity is cutting out cookie from the prepared cookie dough and painting them with egg yolk- based paints made by adding food coloring to egg yolks. You can also give out prizes for "Most Colorful" , "Most Creative" at the end of the day.
The extra paints can be taken home by the kids as they leave, along with their works.
